Búzios

The city of Búzios, in the Lake District of Rio de Janeiro, greets visitors eager for lots of beach and sun. But not only that, Búzios also enchants the streets of stones, the excellent gastronomy, a good variety of irresistible shops and for being a destination that combines comfort with dazzling landscapes. You can spend days in town without realizing that she is actually very small.

The main objective of those who visit Búzios are the beaches. And it could not be any different. The city offers more than 20 good options for visitors. What is most striking is the fact that the beaches are very different from each other, which makes it even more irresistible to go through several of them on the same trip.

There are open sea beaches with waves for surfing; others with sea worthy of being called a swimming pool. There are long beaches, with a large strip of white sand and virgin vegetation; others that of so small go unnoticed in the eyes of the tourists more hurried. The fact is that one of them will surely snatch your heart.

What to do?

Spending the day enjoying the beach is really wonderful. But you can also take advantage of delicious schooner and boat trips, try a bit of stand up paddle and kayak, surf and windsurf, snorkel or roller, do a Trolley ride along the beaches, rent a buggy and even walk to horse. If your preference is even for aerial views, try visiting the Mirante de Joao Fernandes, Mirante da Brava and Mirante do Forno. To go even higher, take a paraglide jump and a helicopter ride. There will be no lack of means to enjoy the beaches of Búzios.

Enjoy the late afternoon to stroll the Orla Bardot or the Port of Barra. Both places offer a show worthy of several photographs. The sun sets in the sea and forms a wonderful scenery with the boats anchored.

When night comes, it's time to go to Rua das Pedras. Crowded with tourists, restaurants and bars, the street is the big buziano point. It is a place to see people, to enjoy, to make some shopping, to listen to good music, to have some drinks and to try the best of the gastronomy of Búzios.
